Just after midnight on Monday morning, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies received a call from the 36400 block of S. Sawtell Rd. in unincorporated Clackamas County, south of the city of Molalla.
The caller reported that her ex-boyfriend -- Phillip Garrett Dominguez, 38 -- was calling her threatening to come to her house with several friends to sexually assault her and damage her house and car.
While the deputy was on the phone with the caller, she reported that Dominguez had just shown up and was trying to force his way into the house.
The deputy and other officers in the area immediately responded to the address on S. Sawtell Rd.
While on the phone, the deputy could hear a disturbance in the background. The caller came back on the phone a short time later. She was reportedly uninjured, and told the deputy that Dominguez had just left in a vehicle, and had also rammed her vehicle with his prior to leaving. The caller also reported seeing a handgun in Dominguez's waistband.
Officers from Molalla Police Department located the suspect vehicle on S. Sawtell Rd. at 12:46 a.m. There was a short pursuit. The suspect vehicle stopped near the 33500 block of S. Sawtell Rd. and two males fled on foot into a wooded area.
One passenger -- identified as Hasan Olinga Cross, 37, of Northwest Portland -- stayed in the vehicle and was detained by deputies.
Deputies set up containment around the area as they searched for the two fleeing suspects. Because the caller had reported seeing Dominguez with a handgun, the Clackamas County Inter-agency SWAT team was called to the scene to search for the suspects.
Using a thermal-imaging FLIR camera, the Clackamas County Aviation Unit located one of the suspects -- identified as Brayan Ceja-Hernandez, 25, of Marion County -- hiding in some bushes a short distance from where the car was stopped. Meanwhile, deputies continued searching the area for the second fleeing suspect, working with the SWAT team, Aviation Unit and K-9s.
At 4:54 a.m. a homeowner came out and contacted the deputies on scene, notifying them that there was an unknown male inside his residence.
Deputies surrounded the residence and called out for the subject to come out.
At 6:43 a.m., Dominguez came out of the house and surrendered to deputies. He was taken into custody without any further incident and transported to the Clackamas County Jail.
