Two Injured In Overnight Portland Shootings

On Thursday August 3, 2017, at 1:28 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to Northwest Broadway and Northwest Hoyt Street on the report of a shooting and one person injured. 

Officers and medical personnel arrived in the area and located an uncooperative male adult suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by ambulance to a Portland hospital for treatment. Preliminary information indicates the injury is non-life-threatening. 

During the investigation officers learned the shooting occurred at the northeast corner of Northwest Broadway and Northwest Glisan Street. Officers continue to investigate and criminalists with the Forensic Evidence Division have responded to the scene. 

There is no suspect description at this time. 

Detectives with the Portland Police Bureau's Detective Division's Assault Detail will continue the investigation. Anyone with information or surveillance video regarding this incident is asked to call the Police Non-Emergency Line at 503-823-3333. 

On Thursday August 3, 2017 at 2:55 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the 9100 block of Southeast Tolman Street on the report of gunfire. 

As officers responded to the scene, a person contacted 9-1-1 and informed officers they were transporting a victim of the shooting to a hospital in their personal vehicle. Officers and medical personnel contacted the driver of the vehicle and the victim of the shooting at Southeast Stark Street and Northbound Interstate 205. The male victim was assisted to an ambulance and transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Based on information learned during the investigation, the Gang Violence Response Team has responded to conduct an investigation. Criminalists with the Forensic Evidence Division have also responded to the scene to assist with this investigation.
