TriMet continues work to solve problems with its computer network.
TriMet is working to get its fare payment systems back online Thursday and will be conducting intermittent tests throughout the day. During that work, TriMet will not be inspecting fares or expecting fare payment.
The TriMet phone system at the LIFT paratransit offices is still out. Because of that, LIFT will again only provide life-sustaining trips Thursday.
With a third day of extreme heat expected, riders should be prepared for the conditions, stay hydrated and expect system delays when temperatures begin to climb.
Service notes for Thursday
• LIFT paratransit service will only be able to provide life-sustaining trips.
• MAX trains will again slow in high speed sections during 90+ heat and to no more than 35 mph system-wide when temperatures soar above 100.
• WES Commuter Rail afternoon service likely will be suspended with shuttle buses serving WES stations.
• No fare inspection or expectation of fare payment
