OR 99E, Southeast McLoughlin Boulevard, will close from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday in the third of four weekend closures for a bridge replacement project.
The northbound road will be closed between Southeast Tacoma and Harold streets. The closure will have no impact on the southbound lanes.
The closure is necessary to allows crews to work on project replacing the bridge over Crystal Springs with a culvert.
A signed detour will take northbound travelers east on OR 224 to Interstate 205.
This is the third of four weekend closures of the northbound lanes. The remaining closure, also from 10 p.m. Friday night to 5 a.m. Monday morning, is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 18 to Monday, Aug. 21.
On the weekends between the northbound lane closures, McLoughlin Boulevard will see lane closures in both directions and shifting traffic patterns. Travelers should expect delays.
