Arrest In Double Fatal Fire

Portland Police Bureau Homicide detectives arrested 28-year-old Ryan Thomas Monaco in connection with a residential fire that killed two people earlier this week at the Camp Manor Apartments at Northeast 98th and Glisan Street.

Monaco was booked on charges of Aggravated Murder and Arson in the First Degree and will be arraigned on Friday in Multnomah County Court. Monaco is expected to face additional charges.

Two people were killed in the fire.

Arson investigators worked closely with Homicide detectives to develop information in this case, leading to the arrest.

The victims are identified as 24-year-old Taher Ali Alhaji and 42-year-old Jason Miller.
