Portland Fire Bureau investigators have found the remains of a person who was killed in the North Portland house explosion on Monday. The person who was found injured on Monday following the explosion has died at a hospital.
An explosion rocked the neighborhood near Peninsula Park in North Portland Monday afternoon.
It leveled a house and the fire destroyed one of the homes next door and damaged another.
The Portland Fire Bureau called two alarms. The hot temperatures forced firefighters to rotate in and out of the operation.
Residents say they felt the concussion of the blast several blocks away.
Investigators are working to determine what caused the fire.
