Portland Fire Bureau investigators have found a second person who died early Sunday morning in an apartment fire near Northeast Glisan and I-205.
When Portland firefighters responded to the fire they found heavy flames coming from a first floor unit and extending to a second floor unit.
A second alarm was called to bring more equipment and firefighters.
Firefighters immediately started searching the apartments. They carried one person from an apartment, but medics were not able to revive the person.
After the fire was out, investigators found a second victim.
Red Cross was called to assist with 10 adults and 15 children who have been displaced by the fire. One firefighter suffered minor burns while fighting this fire. No other injuries were reported.
Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
