A burglar forced his way into a home near Northeast 19th and Klickitat in Portland Monday around 7 p.m.
The suspect ran when confronted by the homeowner.
Neighbors saw the man and gave his description to police.
K9 Siggi found the man's scent and located 34-year-old Joshua S. Purdue. He was hiding a few houses away.
Purdue was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Burglary in the First Degree, Robbery in the Third Degree and a Parole Violation.
