Kids Build events are free workshops for children ages 5ā12. At these workshops, kids have the opportunity to make wood projects, as well as develop their skills and confidence.
Council staff and members will be on hand to help children do their projects and learn new skills. Projects may include the following: keepsake box, small bench, bookends, tool box, pinewood derby car, key holder/jewelry hanger, candy dispenser, planter or birdhouse. Children will be able to take their projects home to enjoy, along with a certificate of project completion.
- Space is limited to 24 kids
- There are no fees to participate
- Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
- Tools and personal protection equipment will be provided
