Washington County Sheriff’s deputies had 23-year-old Yash Desai, of Portland, stopped on Highway 26 near Camelot Court on suspicion of driving under the influence.
A car driven by 61-year-old Earl Smith, of Portland, rear-ended a patrol car causing it to crash into another patrol car and Desai’s car.
No one was hurt in the crash.
Both Smith and Desai were arrested on DUI.
They both had blood alcohol content of .19 which is more than twice the legal limit.
