Around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Portland Police were called to the Rose Quarter Transit Station for a man who was armed with scissors standing on top of a TriMet bus.
The transit center was closed which mean fans of Def Leppard leaving the concert at the Moda Center had to walk to the Convention Center station or over the Steel Bridge to the Old Town station to catch a train.
TriMet ran shuttle buses between the two stations.
The Portland Police Bureau’s Crisis Intervention Team got the man to come off the bus around 11:30 p.m. He was taken to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.
