On June 23rd, detectives with the Marion County Sheriff's Office began investigating an alleged sexual assault that occurred within the 600 block of 45th Avenue NE near Salem.
From their investigation detectives developed probable cause to arrest Lekory McCrae, age 21, of Salem for the crimes of Rape I and Sodomy I.

McCrae is scheduled to be arraigned in the Marion County Circuit Court Annex at 3 p.m., today. The Sheriff's Office has no further comment regarding details of the ongoing criminal investigation.
