A dog fell down a steep 100-foot hillside in the Columbia River Gorge Saturday.
The Corbett Fire Department responded to the Horse Tail Falls trail to rescue the dog.
Firefighters rappelled down the hillside with ropes to reach the dog. They carried it up the hill and back to the trail.
The dog didn't appear to suffer serious injuries.
It's recommended that hikers in the Gorge keep dogs leashed, because of the steep hillsides and cliffs.
