A Washington County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person at a McDonald’s in Aloha at Farming Center.
A deputy located the male, identified as 24-year-old Hayden Landry Davis, and learned that he had a felony warrant for his arrest. While attempting to arrest him, Davis assaulted the deputy and fled on foot.
Deputies immediately surrounded the area and as a precaution placed nearby Mountain View Middle School on lockdown, which did not have students in class today.
Hillsboro Police Officer Matt Schmidt and his partner, canine Blazer, responded to assist in searching for the suspect. The canine track led deputies so a residence bordering Mountain View Middle School, where Davis was located hiding outside.
Davis was arrested and lodged at the Washington County Jail on charges of assault on a peace officer, resisting arrest, and the felony warrant.
Deputy Ryan Tack suffered abrasions and bruises to his head and arms but will make a full recovery. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
