Female Jogger Grabbed In Forest Grove

UPDATE: A teenage boy turned himself in to police. The boy has been charged with Sex Abuse in the Third Degree and Harassment with enhanced penalties. The matter has been referred to the Washington County Juvenile Department.

Sunday at 12:50 p.m., a woman jogging on a paved path near Hwy 47 and Maple Street in Forest Grove was grabbed from behind by an unknown male subject. 

The man immediately turned and ran and the woman gave chase until the male entered a back yard in the 1500 block of Maple Place. 

Officers searched the area with assistance from the Washington County Sheriff's Office and a Beaverton K-9 unit, but they were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a White male, 5'05", approximately 18-20 years old with light brown hair described as cut in a "bowl cut". He was wearing a white or gray tank top or muscle shirt and dark colored shorts. The man reportedly was wearing a belt with a red coloring on it.

The case is still under investigation and police will also be stepping up patrols in the area.
