Amtrak Train Hits Car In Camas

A car crossing a private railroad crossing in Camas, Washington Tuesday was hit by an Amtrak train.

The crossing doesn't have signals.

The car drove over the crossing at the same time the train was travelling westbound.

The driver, 34-year-old Maria G. Gonzalez Torres, was killed and her 14-year-old son was hospitalized.

75 people were on the train. No one on the train was hurt.

Amtrak brought a new crew to complete the trip to Vancouver.

The train was delayed two hours for the investigation.
