Suspect Arrested In Portland Stabbing

Portland Police Homicide detectives have arrested 33-year-old Michael Lee Williams for the stabbing of 37-year-old Jacob Shroyer.

Williams is charged with Attempted Murder, Assault in the First Degree, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon in connection with the attack. Williams was already in custody at the Multnomah County Jail as a result of a May 9 arrest on unrelated charges and a parole violation.

Shroyer was entering the Pacific Tower Apartments on May 8 when he was attacked. He was stabbed multiple times and remains hospitalized in critical condition. His injuries are still considered to be life threatening. 

Police have not released a motive in the stabbing.
