Portland’s May Day march represented groups that included labor, immigration, women’s rights and the LGBTQ community.

The march started peacefully from Shemanski Park on Monday.

A group of around 120 people wearing all black and masks started throwing rock, lead balls and Molotov cocktails at police.

Police revoked the permit from the march and declared a riot.

Rioters used newspaper boxes, plastic construction cones and other items they could find to set a fire in the intersection of SW 4th and Morrison. Several other fires were set.

Windows were shattered on businesses and the U.S. Courthouse. A Portland Police car was severely damaged.

Police used TriMet buses to block off a group of rioters. 25 people were arrested during the riot.
