West Linn Police were called to the 2100 block of Long Street, west of West Linn High School, at 10:17 p.m. Friday night on a report of an armed suicidal man.
Officers arrived and were confronted by a man with a gun. A West Linn Police officer fired and killed the man.
The name of the man has not been released.
The involved officers have been placed on administrative leave, per policy. The case is being investigated by the Clackamas County major Crimes team per the Officer Involved Shooting protocol.
