Premier gaming and entertainment destination ilani will open its doors on Monday, April 24, and is kicking off opening week with a variety of musical performances at its nightlife lounge, Muze.
Seeking to provide entertainment options for a variety of audiences, ilani has tapped DJ David E. for various performances throughout the week. He’ll start the party each evening and keep it going into the early morning hours.
DJ David E. will be accompanied by a special guest performer or tribute band each night of opening week, with The Sweet being the first band to break in the new stage on Monday night. The lineup for the remainder of the week includes Friends in Low Places, Stone in Love, Stones vs. Beatles, Cadillacs for Everyone, Mark Lindsay, Design Band, and Reba and George.
Performances at Muze are free to guests of ilani, and Muze will operate with extended hours during opening week: 3 p.m. to 2 a.m., Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Monday, April 24:
At 7 p.m. DJ David E. gets the party started before ‘70s Glam Rock greats, The Sweet, take the stage at 8 p.m. With over 55 million records sold worldwide and 34 no. 1 hits, this is a can’t-miss show. The Sweet has a hit song in the new movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, releasing on May 5. This original U.K.-formed band soared to the top of the charts in the ‘70s with hits including Ballroom Blitz, Fox on the Run, Love is Like Oxygen, Little Willy, Hellraiser, Teenage Rampage, Blockbuster and Action. Original bassist/vocalist Steve Priest revived the sound about a decade ago, and is joined on stage by Richie Onori, Joe Retta and Stevie Stewart. Following The Sweet’s performance, DJ David E. will keep the fun rolling with a 10 p.m. set.
Tuesday, April 25:
Country music fans will want to check out Friends in Low Places, a tribute to Garth Brooks, Shania Twain and Tim McGraw at 8 p.m. Dean Simmons leads the tribute show and is the only Garth Brooks artist on the world-famous “Legends in Concert” roster, which has included performances in Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach and Atlantic City. The show will be opened and closed by DJ David E. with a set at 7 p.m. and another at 10 p.m.
Wednesday, April 26:
Wednesday brings another incredible performance bookended with two exciting sets by DJ David E. Stone in Love, a tribute to Journey performs at 8 p.m. The band’s high-energy performance treats guests to faithful renditions of the classic hits from one of the most beloved rock groups of all time… Journey.
Thursday, April 27:
At 8 p.m. on Thursday, Muze hosts the ultimate battle of classic songs during Beatles vs Stones. ilani guests are invited to experience a musical “showdown” between Satisfaction, the premier Stones tribute band, and Abbey Road, one of the country’s top Beatles tribute bands. As always, DJ David E. will be on hand to get the party going with a 7 p.m. set and another at 10 p.m.
Friday, April 28:
Weekend celebrations kick off with David Foster and the Mohegan Sun Allstars at 8 p.m. Foster, with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Connecticut Blues Society, selects from numerous noteworthy talents to create rich, memorable performances. This will be a solid night of entertainment featuring classic R&B with musicians who have performed alongside the likes of James Taylor, Rod Stewart, Bruce Springsteen and Tower of Power, to name a few. At 11 p.m., Portland’s very own Cadillacs For Everyone takes the stage, guiding guests along a musical journey from vintage blues rock to modern, silk-laden pop.
Saturday, April 29:
At 8 p.m. on Saturday, Muze features rock music of the ‘60s and ‘70s from solo artist Mark Lindsay, the distinctive lead vocalist of Paul Revere & The Raiders. At 10 p.m., Design Band takes the stage. The Oregon-based band creates the perfect party atmosphere with an eclectic set list of the best in dance music.
Sunday, April 30:
An incredible weekend closes out with Reba and George, So Good Together at 7 p.m. Kimberly Hall pays tribute to Reba McEntire and Bill White stands in for George Strait to create a musical tribute – complete with duets – unlike any other.
Following ilani’s opening week, Muze will be open during regular hours: 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. ilani is located 16 miles north of Vancouver, with direct access off Interstate 5 at exit 16.
