DUI Traffic Stop Nabs Suspected Thief

Early Wednesday morning, Washington County Deputies serving the City of Cornelius arrested a Milwaukee man after a lengthy pursuit. After his arrest, deputies discovered evidence of additional crimes. Washington County Sheriff's deputies attempted to stop 45-year-old Leroy Foos, of Milwaukie, for suspected DUII.

Foos initially pulled over, but then fled in his 2011 Toyota Corolla. He led deputies on a pursuit on Highway 26 east to SW Scholls Ferry Road where, with assistance from Oregon State Police, Hillsboro Police Department and Beaverton Police Department were able to deploy spike strips and utilize a PIT maneuver to stop Foos. The vehicle was filled with stolen items.

Foos was arrested for DUII (drugs), Reckless Driving and Attempt to Elude and lodged in the Washington County Jail.
