PGE Crews Working To Restore Outages

PGE crews responding to widespread outages Nearly 150,000 Portland General Electric customers have been safely restored following high winds from a powerful windstorm, with PGE crews working to restore the remaining 70,000 customers to service.

PGE OUTAGE MAP

Approximately 218,000 PGE customers were affected during the storm.

Falling trees and limbs caused the majority of these outages.

Currently, there are approximately 1,300 downed power lines. All available PGE crews are responding, and 24-hour restoration efforts have been initiated until power to all customers is restored.

PGE has also arranged for assistance to come from other areas to respond to this major event.

Crews are working as quickly as safety allows. Outages are widely spread throughout the PGE service area and consist of a high number of smaller outages, which slows restoration efforts.

Due to the volume of outages, PGE is unable to provide restoration estimates at this time.

PGE reminds customers to stay away from any downed utility lines, and to report any downed lines or power outages. Always assume that downed lines are live and extremely dangerous- never touch downed wires with your body or any object.

Report any downed lines immediately to PGE by calling 503-464-7777 (Portland) or 800-544-1795.

If your power is out, PGE offers several ways to report an outage or get an update:

* Mobile: Visit PortlandGeneral.com on a smartphone to see a mobile-optimized page with quick links.

* Phone: Call 503-464-7777 (Portland) or 800-544-1795 to report a power outage or downed line through the automated system.
