A Marion County Sheriff’s deputy was hit by a vehicle during a traffic stop and shots were fired.
It happened around 12:16 p.m. Friday near Highway 99 and Boones Ferry Road in the Woodburn area.
The deputy attempted to stop a vehicle when there was an altercation and the deputy was hit by the vehicle. Shots were fired.
The deputy is hospitalized with minor injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office has not released additional information.
