Damaging Wind Storm Hits Western Oregon

A strong storm is moving north along the Oregon Coast today and it’s bringing strong winds to Western Oregon. At the Coast winds could gust to 70 mph and in the Valley winds could gust to 45 or 50 miles an hour.

The winds are causing trees to fall and power outages. The National Weather Service is warning you to stay away from trees that could be at risk of falling.

PGE and Pacific Power crews are responding to hundreds of outages affecting thousands of customers throughout western Oregon.
