The Hillsboro Hops Friday revealed the installation of a new Ribbon Board in right center field at Ron Tonkin Field that will provide more engaging content and in-game details such as stats and player bios for Hops fans. This new board will also provide visibility of the line score to fans in the Frontier Family Berm for the first time.

The board which is manufactured by Panasonic and being installed by TubeArt, is 110’ x 6.5’ at a cost of approximately $400,000. The Hops are covering the entire cost of the board and the installation. It is the same product that is being used at Atlanta’s new SunTrust Park and the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

“Hops fans will love this new addition to Ron Tonkin Field,” said Hops President K.L. Wombacher. “This state-of-the-art board gives us three times the display capacity to provide engaging content and player and game information for our fans.”

The installation is scheduled to be completed by the end of April and ready for the start of the Hops 2017 season and the 2017 Northwest League vs Pioneer League All-Star festivities on July 31 and August 1.
