Tuesday around 8:45 a.m., a Beaverton Police Motorcycle Officer was on a traffic stop in the shoulder of the on-ramp to northbound Highway 217 from Canyon Road when his motorcycle was struck by a passing vehicle. The vehicle initially stopped, but then fled the scene.
The suspect vehicle was a silver Acura MDX, likely a 2004 model year, with an Oregon "Tree" license plate. It may have damage to the passenger side mirror.
The officer was not injured.
