The boy was found safe in the Yakima, Washington area Tuesday morning, after being kidnapped by his uncle.
Leonnel Barajas was taken by gunpoint by 23 year old Manuel Mendoza. Police say Mendoza broke down the door of the boy’s apartment Monday night, pointed a gun at the boy’s father, and took the child.
Police say Leonnel had been living with his father during a custodial dispute with the boy’s mother.
Police believe 24 year old Jessica Mendoza, was involved in the abduction.
Manuel Mendoza was taken into custody.
