Friday around 11:34 a.m., Washington County Sheriff's deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash on SW Fern Hill Road near SW Spring Hill Road in western Washington County. It was reported that a 2007 Ford F-150 went off the road, struck a tree and then returned to the roadway.
When deputies arrived, they identified the driver as 28-year-old David Humble. He and a 21-year-old female passenger were both transported to a local hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening at this time. The truck sustained extensive damage.
Deputies learned that Humble's blood-alcohol content was .26, more than three times the legal limit. Due to Humble's medical concerns, he will be charged at a later time with Assault and Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. The crash closed SW Fern Hill Road until 4 p.m.
