Crews with the Portland Bureau of Transportation have reopened SW Skyline Blvd to through traffic between West Burnside and U.S. 26., after clearing a landslide that was reported overnight Sunday night.
This was the largest landslide PBOT crews have encountered this winter.
In clearing the landslide, City crews:
- Hauled out about 900 tons of mud and debris, equal to more than 600 cubic yards.
- Chipped up and removed 30 cubic yards of tree debris and hauled out 4 dump truck loads of larger trees and tree stumps.
- Placed 109 feet of concrete barriers.
- Installed 120 feet of new drainage pipe.
- Temporarily repaired parts of the road damaged in the slide.
