A Winter Storm Watch is calling for the possibility of a major snow event Sunday for Portland/Vancouver.
The National Weather Service says weather models show that snow levels will drop on Sunday possibly to the Valley Floor.
Rain Sunday morning could change to snow by Sunday afternoon, but it's more likely that will happen Sunday night.
There's not much confidence at this point about how much snow will accumulate. Up to a foot of snow is possible, but it all depends on the temperature which will be close to freezing.
If it snows it will be a heavy wet snow which can cause tree damage and power outages.
The snow could extend as far south as Woodburn or Salem and then south of there would be a cold rain.
On Monday the snow is expected to change to rain.
