Sandy Woman Shot During Domestic Dispute

A woman from Sandy was shot and wounded during a domestic dispute Tuesday night.

Sandy Police say that 56-year-old Duane Frey and his wife Sarah Knapp were in an argument when Frey pulled a .30 caliber pistol and shot his wife in the shoulder.

Knapp was able to call 911 for help. Frey told police the shooting was an accident.

Frey was taken to the Clackamas County Jail, where he was lodged on $274,000 bail. His current charges include Assault II, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Menacing, Recklessly Endangering, and Pointing a Firearm at Another.

Knapp is hospitalized at OHSU.
