Beaverton Helps With Water Bills

The City of Beaverton is encouraging water bill customers that are concerned about paying their January and February water bills to give them a call. "We've heard from several residents who were unable to make it to work due to the recent storm and are worried about making their payments this month and we wanted to do something to help," said Mayor Denny Doyle.

The city is asking for Beaverton water customers to call the department to make arrangements to get caught up on their bills. Customers can be put on a payment plan, late fees may be waived, and the time to be pay in full can be extended if customers stay on track on their new payment plan.

This payment extension applies only to City of Beaverton water customers. The city supplies water to about 70 percent of Beaverton residents. Other water districts serve the remaining portion of the city.

Anyone wishing to contact the city to make extended payment arrangements should contact the City's Finance Department at 503-526-2257. Staff will be available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm to assist. It is important for customers to contact the city before they receive a final shut-off notice.
