Oregon Zoo Offers Specials This Week

The Oregon Zoo is offering specials this week.

Tickets for Nov. 3–9 are $13 per person — half off regular zoo admission.

During this time, the zoo is also offering free admission for federal employees affected by the government shutdown and their families (limit of four tickets). To receive free admission, visitors must show a valid photo ID and federal ID with their ticket at the gate.

Guests who haven’t been to the zoo in a while have a chance to see new arrivals like rescued cougar cubs Nova and Link — and 9-month-old Asian elephant Tula-Tu, whose pumpkin playtime this month brought smiles to fans around the world.

The first week of November is also Polar Bear Week and a great time to visit Nora before she moves to her new home in Wisconsin later this fall. On Thursday, Nov. 6, the zoo will celebrate the beloved bear’s 10th birthday with a 1 p.m. keeper chat plus additional activities and enrichment throughout the day.

Zoo admission also includes the following daily activities:

  • 10:45 a.m. - bat keeper talk
  • 11 a.m. - Family Farm keeper talk
  • 11:30 a.m. - condor keeper talk
  • 12:30 p.m. - animal encounter at theater near lions
  • 12:45 p.m. - sea otter keeper talk
  • 1:15 p.m. - chimpanzee keeper talk

Due to capacity limits, tickets should be reserved online in advance via the zoo website.
