Dogs that have a hard time adjusting to shelter life got a little help when local harpist Leigh Brown played for them at the Oregon Humane Society.
Dogs that appeared scared by their surroundings relaxed and curled up. Dogs that were barking became noticeably more calm.
The Oregon Humane Society has campuses in Northeast Portland and Salem where dogs, cats and other small pets are available for adoption.
