Natural Gas Line Causes Difficult To Fight Fire

A vehicle crashed in to a four-plex in the Sullivans Gulch Neigborhood on Christmas Eve causing an intense fire.

The vehicle hit a natural gas meter and the gas caused a large fire.

There were no natural gas shutoff valves in the area, so firefighters used one of their rigs to pull the vehicle off the gas meter.

Hoses flooded the area, so firefighters could clamp the natural gas line and put the fire out.

All residents safely evacuated the home. Firefighters rescued a pet. The Red Cross is helping residents.
