Police Seek Mother In Child's Overdose Death

The mother of the two-year-old child who died following a suspected fentanyl exposure is being sought by detectives for several violent crimes.

Since the death of her child, 26-year-old Mary E. Jacobo is suspected of a carjacking a vehicle at gunpoint and other crimes. She has multiple warrants for her arrest.

Significant investigatory efforts to locate her have so far been unsuccessful. The Portland Police Bureau is requesting the public’s help in locating her, and PPB is releasing her photograph to assist in that effort.

Jacobo is 5”5’ in height, 135 pounds, with hazel eyes. She has brown hair but may have recently dyed it blonde. She has a tattoo on the front of her neck, on her chest, and on her left hand.
