Police Seek Tips On Alleged Dog Abuse Suspect

The Portland Police Bureau is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a man suspected of abusing a dog.

On August 2, 2024, at an apartment building in the 500 block of Northeast Holladay Street, security cameras captured a man repeatedly abusing a dog. The abuse included hitting the dog with a heavy rope and hanging the dog from a fire extinguisher so it could be repeatedly kicked.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 6’0” in height, and 175 pounds. He is known to congregate at businesses near the intersection of Northeast Grand Avenue and Northeast Holladay Street.
