A pickup crashed into a fire hydrant Monday morning in Vancouver breaking a water main.
It happened on Burton Road near I-205.
The driver and passenger ran from the scene after the crash and weren't caught.
The water flooded Burton Road. Firefighters couldn't find the water main shutoff, because of the flooding.
Water department workers were able to shut down the main, but not until thousands of gallons of water had flooded the area.
