On Saturday, members of East Precinct conducted another Stolen Vehicle Operation (SVO). Portland partnered with Gresham Police, Port of Portland Police, and Multnomah County Parole & Probation to address actively stolen vehicles and the subsequent criminal activity they often facilitate. A Deputy District Attorney from the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office was also present for consultation.
In total, 11 stolen vehicles were recovered, and 14 individuals were arrested associated with the stolen vehicles or on outstanding warrants. 12 vehicles were towed. 1 firearm, 2 replica guns, and a taser were also seized.
For the second mission in a row, members of the East Precinct Neighborhood Response Team (NRT) were provided with community sourced information through the Facebook group PDX Stolen Vehicles that they were then able to follow-up on during the SVO mission.
