Missing Man Located

UPDATE: Multnomah County Sheriff's Office deputies locate Eugene Gumz during the evening of March 17, 2021. Gumz was in Troutdale when they found him. He is now safe.

Portland Police Bureau Missing Persons Detectives would like help finding 74-year-old Eugene Gumz, of Portland.

Gumz left Portland on Saturday, March 15, 2021 driving his silver, four door 2012 VW Passat, Oregon license 9R3067. Mr. Gumz is known to have spent the night in Lebanon, OR that night and checked out on March 16, 2021 at about 10:00 a.m.

Gumz may be confused and may have problems with his memory and sense of direction. Detectives believe under the circumstances he is an endangered person and needs to have his welfare checked when found.

Gumz is white male, 6 feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He is bald with gray hair on the sides and gray facial hair.

Gumz was in Portland Tuesday at about 4:05 p.m. He was experiencing car trouble on the east side near the Ross Island Bridge.

Anyone who sees Gumz or his car is asked to call 911.
