Best Self-Quarantined Pet

The Oregon Humane Society adds the category Best Self-Quarantined Pet to its photo contest.

We’re all spending a lot more time with our pets and that means more opportunities to take adorable photos. Now, photos of your pet can help save shelter pets, give you a shot at great prizes, and help brighten our days during quarantine. To share the love with all species, the categories include Best Dog, Best Cat, and Best Other Pet. This year an additional fourth category – Best Self-Quarantining Pet – could even win you a prize package that includes a new mattress and a bidet!

Entering the OHS Photo Contest is quick and easy. Create an account, upload your photos, and encourage the public to vote for their favorites. Hint – to get more votes, share a link to your photo entry on social media.

One of the winning photos will be on the cover of the OHS magazine. All winners and runners-ups will be featured in a magazine feature story.

The winning cat, dog, and other pet category will each receive a $100 gift card from Frame Central, a whimsical custom pet portrait by Homme Sur La Lune, and a special gift basket of OHS gear, pet treats, and toys donated by local businesses.

The best self-quarantining pet will win their human a new mattress from Avocado Green Mattress, a HelloTushy Bidet, DIY package and OHS quarantine kit to keep them entertained, cozy, and safe while you shelter in place.

The grand prize winner, with the most overall votes, will receive a Pacific Northwest gift package containing items donated from a number of OHS partners including Migration Brewing and Portland Puppy Gear.

There is a $10 donation to enter and $5 donation for five votes. All entry and voting donations go directly to help the animals at OHS. Our goal is to raise $18,000 to help create “picture-perfect” happy endings for shelter pets.

The deadline for submitting photos is 11 p.m. May 29, and voting ends at 11 p.m. June 1, 2020.
