On April 10, 2020 at approximately 7:04 a.m. a community member was struck by a vehicle in the 2600 block of Southeast 136th Avenue.
East Precinct officers learned the victim of this incident had confronted a suspected car thief. The suspected car thief got into a vehicle and then drove the vehicle intentionally at the victim.
The victim was struck by the vehicle and was injured as a result. The injuries are reported to be serious, which include a broken rib. The vehicle further damaged property at this location as it fled the area.
The suspect is described as a 40 year-old white male. He had dark hair and is thought to be about 5'8" with a trim build.
It was also learned the suspect vehicle is a gold 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, license plate number YUR384. The vehicle will have front end damage.
Detectives are seeking information about the suspect and the vehicle.
