A woman was killed and a man suffered life threatening injuries in a shooting early Friday morning in Southeast Portland.
The shooting was reported around 3:33 a.m. Friday near Southeast 174th and Powell Boulevard.
Officers arrived at the location and found a woman with a gunshot wound. She died at the scene. Officers also located a second victim, an adult male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The male was transported to an area hospital for treatment to life threatening injuries.
There was a young child in the residence at the time of the shooting. The child is safe with officers and was not harmed.
Police are trying to identify the suspect. They have not said what led to the shooting.
