A Oregon State Police K-9 helped bust drug-runners in Southern Oregon.
On Wednesday, a Trooper from the Oregon State Police Central Point office contacted a vehicle for multiple traffic violations on Interstate 5 north of Ashland.
An Oregon State Police narcotics K9 was called. The K9 alerted on the vehicle and a search located 50.8 pounds of methamphetamine and 4.8 pounds of heroin hidden inside the vehicle.
28-year-old Juan Enrique Lemus Del Cid and 57-year-old Reynalda Larios-Cortes, both from Tacoma, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and distribution of a controlled substance for both methamphetamine and heroin and lodged at the Jackson County Jail.
