Fire raced through a Gladstone house early Saturday morning leading to a Two Alarm response from firefighters.
The house is located at 1640 Amonson Court.
Firefighters say the fire appeared to start outside of the home and spread into the attic.
The family with seven children safely got out of the house.
The roof had an extreme pitch which made it difficult for firefighters to cut a hole to ventilate heat and gasses from the fire.
It took nearly an hour to put out the fire.
The cause is under investigation.
