Friday afternoon, a man who claimed he had a gun boarded a C-Tran bus in the area of Northeast Covington Road and Fourth Plain Boulevard in Vancouver.
There were no passengers on the bus.
The man forced the driver to Portland.
On I-205 southbound police tried to use spike strips, but they weren't effective in stopping the bus.
When the bus approached the on-ramp for SR-14 heavy traffic forced the driver to slow and police were able to stop the bus.
Police arrested 31-year-old Anthony Lybeck without incident. He'll be charged with Kidnapping.
The driver wasn't hurt.
