On Monday, March 25, 2019, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report that a construction site had been vandalized near Banks. Several pieces of equipment were also stolen from the location near NW Davidson Rd & NW Hawn Rd.
The equipment was part of a work site being operated by Luttrell’s Trucking & Excavation out of Yamhill on property owned by Stimson Lumber in unincorporated Washington County.
Most of the damage was done to an excavator parked along side the logging road where it had been parked between Friday, March 22nd and Monday, March 25th.
The owner estimates damage at around $7,500.
A camera setup at the location captured individuals in the area the night of March 23rd. One of the men can be seen carrying an axe that was stolen from the excavator.
The owner of the company is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
