Wednesday morning, Beaverton Police responded to a report of a stolen Odwalla delivery truck.
The theft happened at the Winco Foods on SW Cedar Hills Blvd and SW Fairfield Street in Beaverton.
Police located the stolen vehicle near SW Murray Boulevard and SW Farmington Road. Officers tried to stop the stolen vehicle near Farmington and Erickson Avenue.
The suspect refused to stop and at one point, drove into oncoming lanes of traffic. Officers stopped pursing the vehicle due to the icy road conditions and the danger to the public.
The suspect crashed the stolen vehicle into a small tree and city parking sign near SW Lombard and 1st Street.
The man ran from the crashed vehicle toward the Beaverton Police Station.
He removed some of his clothing to alter his appearance, but police found him south of the police station.
29-year-old Alan Baker was charged with Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle, Aggravated Theft in the First Degree, Attempt to Elude Felony and Misdemeanor, Hit and Run, Reckless Driving and Reckless Endangering Another Person.
