Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a bank in SW Portland Sunday afternoon.
On Sunday December 2, 2018, at 2:45 p.m., officers responded to the report of a bank robbery at the US Bank branch inside Safeway, located at 8145 Southwest Barbur Boulevard.
Officers arrived in the area and contacted employees who told police that the suspect implied that he had a gun as he demanded money.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the bank and grocery store without incident.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late-20s, clean-shaven, wearing a dark-colored hat, dark sunglasses, dark-colored clothing, and possibly armed with a handgun or an item resembling a handgun.
