Portland Police have made an arrest in the fatal stabbing of Tyler Chism in Northwest Portland.
Last Thursday, Portland Police responded to a report of a man down at Northwest 3rd and Everett Street.
They found 28-year-old Tyler Chism, of Portland.
The Medical Examiner determined Chism died from stab wounds.
On Friday, detectives with the Portland Police Homicide Detail assisted by the Police Bureau Tactical Operation Division's Special Emergency Reaction Team arrested 59-year-old Timothy C. Cato for Chism's murder.
Cato was located in the 700 block of Southwest Salmon Street and taken into custody without incident.
Detectives booked Cato into the Multnomah County Jail on a charge of Murder. Cato is scheduled to be arraigned in a Multnomah Court on Monday, October 29, 2018.
